Zahra’a Nasralla is a second-generation Iraqi-American designer whose work bridges religion, culture, functionality, and aesthetics. They earned their Bachelor’s in Architecture from the American University of Sharjah in the U.A.E., where they developed a keen eye for intricate design and community-focused projects.
Their career began at Fikra Graphic Design Studio, where they served as the Community Outreach Executive. In this role, Zahra’a discovered their passion for integrating community care within the design process. This experience involved collaborating on various art and design exhibitions, managing the construction and installation, and ensuring they resonated with the community and audience.
Driven by a desire to deepen their design skills and impact, Zahra’a pursued a Master’s in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Here, their work evolved to intricately weave together religion, culture, and aesthetics with functionality. Their designs aim to foster a sense of belonging, especially within diasporic communities, addressing their unique needs and stories.
